Welcome to Word of Mouth Music the Guitar Specialists. Word of Mouth started as a small guitar repair shop under a house in the Western Suburbs of Brisbane.

The downstairs region of the small suburban home quickly became overrun with cases, bodies, necks, pickups, pick-guards, pots, parts, strings and picks, and of course a never ending supply of guitars in various states of repair. And now to the growing delight of the suburban neighborhood the small home was fast becoming the much visited haunt of local guitar players calling in at all hours of the day and night for urgent repairs, incidental sales and the more than often need to demonstrate at volume their instruments particular problems.

The decision was made to lease a small shop in the suburbs of Ipswich in 1986 where WOMM quickly grew under the ownership of Bruce Jones to become the cities leading Music Store.

Now owned and managed by Rob and Pat Haysom for the past twenty years Word of Mouth Music has outgrown its last three locations and has moved to Shop 4/160 Brisbane Rd Booval (opposite Booval Fair near Dick Smiths) where according to Rob, “Booval is our biggest store yet and I can’t wait to fill it with even more guitars!”.
