Word of Mouth started as a Guitar repair shop it’s in our DNA! Every guitar in stock is professionally setup. Many customers have said to us that they had tried the same instrument in another store but ours played better.
Most stores don’t have the time to spend setting up guitars, there taken out of the box tuned up and hung on the rack, the set up is your problem and your expense!
Rob say’s “it takes a lot of time setting up every guitar, I’m always here after hours to keep up with the stock, but it’s worth it in the long run. A professional guitar setup is expensive but it’s free with our guitars, just another good reason to shop with us.”
The Repair Shop is always busy and you will need to book your instrument in. Understanding the needs of Pro and Semi Pro players Rob will always do his best to have your guitar ready for the next gig.

Some Commonly asked Questions
What is a Guitar Setup?
The best way to explain, is that it is like balancing your guitar. Adjusting the neck, nut and saddle/s so that the guitar plays comfortably. You will be surprised what a Setup can do for playing comfort and speed.
When should I get my Guitars Setup?
I have found with most guitars every 12 months. Some acoustic guitars will move when the seasons change these guitars may need setups twice a year.
How often should I change my strings?
This is by no means a hard and fast rule and I only offer this advice because I am asked so often:
Beginners
- Steel Stings Every 3 months
- Nylon Every 6 months
- Bass Every 6 months
Semi Pro
- Steel Strings Every month
- Nylon Every 3 months
- Bass Every 3 months
Pro’s
- Who can tell them what to do?
My guitar doesn’t sound like _______________ (insert favorite guitarists name here)
